Box Score LA JOLLA, Calif. – The Pacific Women's Tennis team record its second straight win to open their 2022 spring season.
The team traveled to UC San Diego to face the Tritons and finished with a 4-2 victory.
The first two doubles rounds brought tough losses for

Maile Brilhante. The third doubles round saw a big win for
Alexis Sam and
Cindy Ung, 6-2 over their Triton opponents. A fourth doubles exhibition brought a victory for Zoé Clydesdale-Eberle and
MiaAngelina Ruja with a score of 6-4.
Singles sets were where the Tigers took the match today.
Kosan had an unfinished match with sets of 4-6, 7-6(4) and 1-3. Ruja won her singles match 6-1, 1-6 and 6-4. Clydesdale-Eberle won her singles bought 6-1 and 6-4. Zamora was victorious after sets of 7-5, 1-6 and 6-3. Sam lost a tough one 4-6 and 1-6. Ung won 6-4 and 6-1.
Olivia Wiese lost a close exhibition 4-6 and 4-6.
"UC San Diego came to fight today and took the doubles point. Down 0-1, we challenged our group to respond with some fight of their own in singles," said Head Coach
Mike Erwin. "With the match tied 2-2, our junior captain,
Danielle Zamora, closes out a tough three-set match to give us a 3-2 lead. Then, freshman
MiaAngelina Ruja sealed the match with a three-set win at second singles. We're proud of how our squad handled adversity the last couple of days."
The Tigers travel to Sacramento State on Saturday, Feb. 12, to take on the Hornets at 10:00 a.m.
