Men's Soccer Helps Stockton Animal Shelter

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific Men's Soccer team recently spent some time in the community visiting the Stockton Animal Shelter. The event was hosted by the Stockton Animal Shelter at a local PetSmart to help adopt some of the animals at the shelter. The team assisted in socializing, walking, and helping the pets connect with possible homes.

Millions of pets are admitted to shelters every year, with the most recent estimates at 6.3 million. These pets must find homes as an estimated 920,000 shelter animals are euthanized every year.

The Tigers spent around three hours with the shelter, spending time with the pets and helping them get adopted from shoppers in the area. Afterward, the Tigers helped put together crates at the animal shelter so that the animals would have a carrying case when they were adopted.

If you would like to help one of these pets find a home, you can find more information HERE.
