STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's basketball team (5-5) gets the WCC season started with a home game against Saint Mary's, the Tigers travel partner for the upcoming season.
Pacific is returning to the Alex G. Spanos Center after a two-game road trip against Cal State Fullerton and California. The Tigers are 3-3 at home.
Sophomore
Anaya James leads the team in scoring (15.3), assists (48) and field goal percentage (49.5%). Junior
Liz Smith is second in scoring (14.8) and leads the team in threes made (24). Sophomore
Elizabeth Elliott is on top in rebounding (6.8).
James is eighth in the WCC in scoring average. Smith is ninth in both scoring average and total points plus is third in threes made and three-point percentage.
Saint Mary's won three straight before dropping the most recent matchup against Montana State, in a 91-56 loss. Ali Bamberger leads the squad in scoring at 16.6 points per game and rebounding at 7.4 per game. Despite a 6-4 record, the Gaels have a -1.8-scoring differential.
The Gaels have won three straight against the Tigers but have lost two of three at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
