STOCKTON, Calif. – Pacific men's water polo senior Bogdan Djerkovic has been named the Golden Coast Conference Player of the Week.
 
Djerkovic helped Pacific move to 2-0 in conference play last Saturday, earning GCC Player of the Week honors for Oct. 20.

In the 18-13 win over #10 Pepperdine Saturday, he had four goals. He drew a penalty and two exclusions in the first quarter to set the tone early and ended with five exclusions drawn.
 
He leads the Tigers with 43 goals and has 15 drawn exclusions credited for the team. He also has four steals, two assists and two field blocks.
 
"I'm extremely happy for Bogdan," said Head Coach James Graham. "This award is well deserved. He has had to fight through a lot of adversity this season to get to where he is, but he is one of the most dominant centers in the country, and I'm excited for him to get recognized as such."
 
Djerkovic is third in the GCC in goals scored with his 43. He scored a season-high five goals against Long Beach State at the MPSF Tournament in September and scored four goals against Brown, California Baptist and Pepperdine. He also had a season-high six exclusions drawn in the game against Long Beach State in September.
 
Djerkovic and the Tigers host a big showdown with #3 Stanford on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m.
