STOCKTON, Calif. – The Tigers are back at home for the first time since December 4 as they host Gonzaga on Thursday at the Alex G. Spanos Center. The second game of the conference schedule for the Tigers after playing against BYU last weekend.

THE YOUTH MOVEMENT:
As the season continues its grind the freshman class continues to impress.
Anaya James is averaging 15.7 points per game and
Elizabeth Elliott is at almost 13 points per game, averaging 12.9 a game. James has been named the WCC Player of the Week four times while Elliott has won the award once.
RETURNING TIGERS:
Sam Ashby has been almost automatic from deep, setting a career high with 31 points against UNLV while shooting 50% from three which leads the Tigers.
Liz Smith has continued to play well, averaging 9.2 points per game, and is third on the team in minutes played at 26.0.
RANKS IN THE WCC:
James is sixth in the WCC in scoring and Elliott is 10th. Ashby leads the WCC in three-point shooting percentage and is the only player in the WCC to be shooting over 50% from three. Elliott is second in the WCC in points per 40 minutes at 24.5.
HISTORY BETWEEN THE TWO:
The Tigers lost the last matchup in January of 2021 and have lost the last ten matchups. The Tigers won three of four games against Gonzaga from 2015-16.
