Four-Different Goal Scorers Lead Pacific Men's Soccer to 4-2 Win Over CSU-Bakersfield

STOCKTON, Calif. - After the CSU-Bakersfield had rallied to tie the game at 2, the University of the Pacific men's soccer team came back with two goals in a 1:15 span to pull off a 4-2 win over the host Roadrunners. It is the first time in program history that Pacific has pulled off a win in Bakersfield as the Tigers had lost the previous two meetings in 2019 and in 2017.
 
1st Half
• Pacific went ahead 2-0 in the first 45 minutes on goals by Jose Angel Reyes (23:11) and Mathias Saether (29:18).
• Reyes and Charles Brewah nearly put the Tigers on the scoreboard with shots in the second and seventh minute to begin the contest.
• Pacific did not allow a shot on goal to CSUB in the first 45 minutes.
• In both of its wins, Pacific has not allowed a goal in the opening half.

2nd Half
• CSU-Bakersfield scored in the 48th and 66th minute, respectively to tie the game at 2.
• The Tigers' regained the lead on an Avery Whipple goal in the 78th minute, following a pass from Mamoru Kamisasanuki.
• Diego Villapudua scored his first goal of the season in the 80th minute to push it back to a two-goal advantage for the visiting Tigers.
• CSU-Bakersfield mounted an offensive threat with three shots in the final five minute of the contest.

Statistically speaking
• Mathias Saether had a goal and an assist…Mamoru Kamisasanuki had the assist on both the second half goals.
• For the season, Pacific has had six-different players score a goal including tonight's four-different goal scorers.
• Pacific was out shot by an 18-15 margin but managed a 7-4 advantage in shots on goal.
• The 15 shots and 7 shots on goal were a season-high for the Tigers.
• Tigers' goalkeeper Eric Cotton had two saves for his second win on the season.
