Pacific Women's Soccer Extends Winning Streak to Four

STOCKTON, Calif. – The University of the Pacific women's soccer team extend its winning streak to four with a 1-0 shutout win over host Southern Utah on Sunday afternoon.

The win raises the Tigers' record to 6-1-1 on the season – the six wins are the most for a Pacific squad since 2011, who ended the season with a 8-9-1 mark. The loss drops the Thunderbirds to 1-5 on the season.

"Major credit to our players for finishing out the weekend with another really good win.  We didn't talk about it much but this is an extremely challenging road trip, in a lot of ways, so to be heading home with 2 wins is a very good feeling for everyone involved with our program.  We were good today, but we were really good in the second half, we scored a fantastic goal, and were super dangerous in many more sequences.  That says a lot about where we are as a program to play against a team that had been off for 9 days to be fully committed to raising our sense of urgency to score/win to another level or two as the game wore on, well, we are just happy for the players to be rewarded for all hard work they are put in today and in to this season so far, both individually and collectively.  Now we will collect our thoughts and make sure we are good to go next Friday at Sacramento State." – Co-Interim Head Coaches Danesha Adams and J.J. Wozniak
