SAN MATEO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference officially announced the 2021-22 men's basketball conference schedule on Wednesday morning.
The race for the WCC regular season crown will stretch over a nine-week span, featuring 16 conference games for each team. Conference play for Pacific is set to begin on Thursday, December 30, 2021 and will conclude on Saturday, February 26, 2022.
Pacific will begin their conference schedule with two home matchups at the Alex G. Spanos Center- Thursday, Dec. 30 vs. Santa Clara and Saturday, Jan. 1 vs. Pepperdine.
Shortly thereafter, the Tigers will travel to Provo for their first road contest of the year for a matchup with BYU on Thursday, Jan. 6 before returning home to Stockton to host Loyola Marymount (LMU) on Saturday, Jan. 8.
Moving into week three, Pacific will travel to Santa Clara to square off against the Broncos on Thursday, Jan. 13 followed by a matchup in Moraga against Saint Mary's on Saturday, Jan. 15.
Finishing as the national-runner up in 2020-21, Gonzaga will visit the Spanos Center on Thursday, Jan. 20 before San Diego battles the Tigers in Stockton in Saturday, Jan. 22. Closing out January, Pacific will hit the road for one contest at Portland on Thursday, Jan. 27 followed by a showdown with BYU at home on Saturday, Jan. 29.
Receiving their first bye to begin February, UOP will not play on Thursday, Feb. 3 as they will prepare for their matchup at Pepperdine on Saturday, Feb. 5. Following their clash with the Waves, the Tigers will continue their road trip with stops at Gonzaga on Thursday, Feb. 10 and San Diego on Saturday, Feb. 12.
In week eight, Pacific hosts San Francisco (USF) on Thursday, Feb. 17 while also utilizing their second bye just two days later on Saturday, Feb. 19.
Wrapping up the conference slate, the Tigers will host their final regular season home game of the year on Thursday, Feb. 24 when they welcome Portland to town. Ultimately, Pacific will conclude the year with their final regular season road game at LMU on Saturday, Feb. 26.
The 2022 UCU WCC Men's Basketball Tournament will take place March 3-8 at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
