Box Score STOCKTON, Calif. -- The University of the Pacific women's soccer team ended its opening weekend with a 0-0 tie against UC Santa Barbara on Sunday afternoon at Knoles Field. The tie puts the Tigers at 1-0-1 on the season, whereas the Gauchos are now 0-1-1.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT…
• The two teams combined for 20 shots in the 110 minutes of action with UCSB holding a slim 11-9 advantage in shots.
• Pacific junior goalkeeper
Brenna Crump (Palmdale, Calif.) earned the start, playing the entire 110 minutes and made eight saves for the shutout. The eight saves are tied for the third most that Crump has recorded in her career.
• The Tigers' defense has not allowed in the last 251:42 of action on the pitch. The last goal that Pacific allowed came at the 49:08 mark of the season finale, last spring.
• One of Friday's heroes,
Jaida Nyby (Eugene, Ore.) led the offensive attack for Pacific with a team-high three shots. Nyby had two of her shots in the first 45 minutes of the action, including an attempt in the seventh minute that was saved by UCSB goalkeeper Evann Smith.
• Seven-different players for the Tigers had a shot in the contest.
• For UCSB, forward Jessica Wright led all players with five shots, including three on goal in the tie. Plus, Gauchos' goalkeeper Evann Smith had four saves.

• After playing two home contests to begin the season, the Tigers will take to the road for the Boise State Invitational. While in Boise, Pacific will face North Dakota State on Thursday, August 26 at 2 p.m. (PST) and the host Broncos on Sunday, August 29
th at noon (PST).
