Tigers Tie Toreros in Tight Match

STOCKTON, Calif – One their last home game of the season the Tigers earn 1pt in the conference standings with a tie vs San Diego

First Half:
  • The Tigers had the first shot of the game in the 7th minute on a shot from Jaida Nyby, that was saved by the USD goalie.
  • In the 8th minute Centerback, Kelsey Oen, played a ball into the box that found the foot of Audrey Fuchs. Her shot was saved, but resulted in a corner
  • Kelsey would again find Fuchs in the 18th minute, but the shot was again saved by the USD goalie.
  • In the 43rd minute Lauren Frohan had a shot from just outside the box that just missed from going in as it hit the crossbar
  • The Tigers had 9 shots in the first half compared to 0 for San Diego
First Half Score: 0-0

Second Half:
  • Crump faced 7 shots in the second half, 4 that were on goal, and saved all of them
  • Pacific's first shot of the second half came in the 51st minute from Abigail Wolf, which was saved by USD
  • Laila Seravia would again test the USD goalie in the 56th minute, but she again came up with a save
  • Their last shot of regulation came in the 87the minute from Jade Enalen, which was agained saved by USD

Overtime:
  • Pacific had 6 shots in the overtimes combined
  • The best scoring chance came in the 5th minute of overtime when a through ball from the midfield found Jaida Nyby, but once again the USD goalie would come up with a save to keep the score tied
  • In the first minute of the second overtime Brenna Crump made a save on the only shot she saw in OT
  • With 30 seconds remaining in the 2nd OT Taylor Puckett had a shot attempt inside the box, but it would go wide right
  • As time was expiring Jenae Packard attempted a shot from well outside the box that was on net, but again saved by USD

Notable Stats:
  • The start today was Ryanne Molenaar's 30th consecutive start for the Tigers
  • Jaida Nyby finished with a team high 5 shots
  • Laila Seravia had 4 shots in the game, her most in a game this season
  • Brenna Crump earned her second consecutive shutout & 3rd overall shutout this season. 
  • The Tigers finished with 20 shots, which was their most in a game so far this year
Up Next:
The Tigers will have their last game of the season at San Francisco. They played each other earlier this year in a matchup that didn't count towards WCC play that ended in a 1-0 win for USF.
