STOCKTON, Calif. – Closing out their six-game home stand with one final match, the No. 13 Pacific women's water polo team (4-2, 2-0) will continue GCC play this weekend when they host Concordia-Irvine (0-0, 0-0) on Friday afternoon.

THINGS TO KNOW:
- Fresh off an impressive weekend, redshirt senior Truly was named the Golden Coast Conference Player of the Week on Thursday morning. Guiding the then-ranked No. 17 Tigers to a perfect 3-0 record this past weekend, including a thrilling upset victory over No. 14 San Diego State on Mar. 18., Dorland tallied 11 total goals across the three matches and now leads the team with a remarkable 18 goals through six games. Overall, her 19 points on the season is also good for second on the team.
- Moving up four spots from last week, the Tigers are now tied for 13th in the CWPA Women's Varsity Top 25 Poll in Week 6 with Indiana University. In the GCC, Pacific sits atop the standings with a perfect 2-0 record.
- Individually, Dorland's 18 goals also place second in the conference while junior Lucy Davis currently paces the GCC with 17 total assists. Additionally, Davis is also tied for fourth in total points with 24, freshman goalie Emanuella Nathan is tied for fourth with 23 saves while senior Brooke Contreras is fifth with 11 steals.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES:
- Making the trip north to Stockton, the Eagles will kick off their 2021 campaign on Friday at Pacific, marking their first conference match of the year as well.
- As a team, Concordia-Irvine is fairly young overall, as only seven upperclassmen (two seniors, five juniors) are set to compete this year for the Eagles.
- At the helm, Dreason Barry is entering his seventh season as head coach after being promoted from assistant coach in 2015.
