STOCKTON, Calif. - Coming off a 2-1 West Coast Conference victory last Sunday, the University of the Pacific Men's Soccer team looks for a second-straight win this coming Sunday at Knoles Field. The Tigers host Santa Clara in a WCC matchup, which will be the final of four consecutive home contests.

THINGS TO KNOW
- The Tigers picked up their first win of the season last Sunday, defeating Portland, 2-1. Sophomore midfielder Samuel Villalta scored his first goal with Pacific in the 51st minute, which would become the game-winner.
- Netting his first goal of the season last Sunday and second of his career at Pacific was sophomore midfielder Avery Whipple, scoring on a header in the 19th minute. Whipple now has three points total on the season.
- Sophomore Samuel Saiz Herraiz had an assist on each of Pacific's goals in the win. Picking up his second assist of the season in the win was senior forward Diego Villapudua.
- Junior goalkeeper Eric Cotton picked up his first win in net for the Tigers, making four saves.
- Saiz Herraiz has registered nine shots this season, leading Pacific in the category. Five of the nine shots were on net.
- Pacific is 2-2-2 all time against Santa Clara. The Broncos won the most recent meeting between the squads, 2-1 on October 19, 2019.
SCOUTING THE BRONCOS
- Santa Clara has yet to score during the 2021 spring season in three matches played.
- The Broncos have only allowed one first half goal.
- Leading the Broncos in total shots is senior forward Oladayo Thomas, who has registered five this season. Two of Thomas's shots have been on frame.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Guillem Badenes Mecho has appeared in three matches with two starts, logging nearly 195 minutes with a 2.31 GAA, making six saves.
