STOCKTON, Calif. – Following a crucial victory over the San Diego Toreros last weekend, the Pacific women's basketball team (7-10, 5-9) will look to continue their winning ways in conference play when they make their annual trip to Southern California to face off against Pepperdine (4-14, 1-13) and Loyola Marymount (5-14, 4-9) this upcoming weekend.

THINGS TO KNOW:
- Pacific split their pair of home games last week at the Spanos Center, falling to BYU, 65-52, on Thursday, Feb. 11 before hanging on to defeat San Diego, 66-61, on Saturday, Feb. 13.
- Looking to improve with every opportunity, the Tigers currently lead the WCC in free throw percentage as a team (.755) while also placing third in steals per game (9.65) and fourth in scoring offense (68.18).
- Continuing her dominance, redshirt senior Valerie Higgins also currently sits in the top ten in Division I in total steals (57, fourth) and steals per game (3.35, sixth). Cashing in when it matters most, she also is 20th in the nation with 90 free throws made on the season.
SCOUTING THE WAVES:
- Overall, Pacific leads the all-time series between the two programs, 13-8, with the Tigers cruising past the Waves earlier this season in Stockton, 61-45 on Jan. 23.
- This past Monday, Pepperdine played a makeup game against San Diego, falling to the Toreros, 82-59. Tara Dusharm had a career-high 19 points while also grabbing a season-high six rebounds against USD.
- Individually, Malia Bambrick paces the Waves with an average of 10.8 points per game while Monique Andriuolo leads the team on the glass with an average of 7.1 rebounds per contest.
SCOUTING THE LIONS:
- LMU will celebrate Black History Month in its last home game of the season in Gersten Pavilion on Saturday, Feb. 20. The Lions will open Saturday's game against Pacific with the Black National Anthem as the team will be wearing their all-black alternate uniforms. Each player will also wear custom jerseys with a unique word or phrase that promotes social justice and equality.
- As a team, the Lions lead the WCC in blocked shots per game (5.17) while also ranking third in field goal percentage defense (.389).
- Hailing from the Stockton area, Ariel Johnson currently leads LMU and is tenth in the conference in scoring with an average of 12.8 points per game. Impressively, she also ranks third in free throw percentage (.833) and fifth in steal per game (2.00).
- Additionally, Khari Clark sits eighth in rebounding (6.28) while Meghan Mandel is just two spots behind her on the list, placing tenth with an average of 5.89 rebounds per game.
- Currently, LMU holds the advantage in the all-time series, 9-7, having defeated Pacific earlier this season, 81-71, on Jan. 21 in Stockton. However, the Tigers had previously won their last three over the Lions, including sweeping the season series in 2019-20.
