STOCKTON, Calif. - After two postponed contests for the University of the Pacific Men's Soccer team, the Tigers are preparing to open the 2021 spring season with a non-conference road match at Stanford University on Friday afternoon. It will start the second season for the Tigers under the direction of head coach
Adam Reeves.

THINGS TO KNOW
- With a team-high three goals in 2019, sophomore Derick Roque returns to the Tigers for the spring 2021 season. Roque also led Pacific in total points with seven.
- Selected to the All-WCC Preseason Men's Soccer team was junior midfielder Ryan Her, who scored two goals and added a pair of assists in 2019, starting 15 matches. Following the 2019 season, Her was named to the All-WCC Men's Soccer Second Team.
- Defender Emory Rapaport returns to Pacific for his sophomore season after being named to the 2019 All-WCC Men's Soccer Freshman Team. Rapaport started 14 matches in 2019 and scored one goal with a pair of assists, logging 1,289 minutes.
- New to the program and to the Tigers' net is Eric Cotton. Brady Cooper returns to the Pacific program as well, as a goalkeeper.
- Reeves brings a career record into 2021 of 40-23-2 as a collegiate head coach.
- Pacific went 6-10-1 in 2019.
SCOUTING THE CARDINAL
- Stanford comes off a 2019 season in which it finished 14-3-5 overall, reaching the NCAA College Cup Semifinals.
- In net, Andrew Thomas returns to the lineup after a season in which he logged over 1,990 minutes and had a 0.72 goals-against-average.
- Forwards Zach Ryan and Gabe Segal both led the Cardinal during the 2019 season in goals scored with six each and return to the spring 2021 lineup.
- Ousseni Bouda is the top returning point leader for Stanford after collecting 15 in 2019 with five goals and five assists.
- Stanford head coach Jeremy Gunn enters his 10th season with the Cardinal and has led the program to three NCAA Division I Championships (2015, 2016, 2017).
