The freshman class continues to be as good as advertised, with
Anaya James leading the team in scoring at 15.5 points per game and
Elizabeth Elliott being second on the team with 12.1 points per game.
Anaya James has been named the WCC Freshman of the Week four times and the only player to win the award multiple times this season.
Elizabeth Elliott also has won the award once as the Tigers have won the award four out of the five weeks so far this weekend.
RETURNING TIGERS:
Sam Ashby has come alive as of late, setting a career high in points against UNLV with 31. Ashby is leading the team in shooting percentage and three-point shooting percentage.
Madelene Ennis is leading the team in rebounding and is shooting 50% from the floor for the season.
RANKS IN THE WCC:
Sam Ashby leads the WCC in three-point shooting percentage and is second in overall shooting percentage.
Anaya James is sixth in the WCC in scoring and leads all freshman in scoring. James is tied for fourth in steals per game and sixth in assists per game.
Elizabeth Elliott is second in the WCC in points per 40 minutes.
HISTORY BETWEEN THE TWO:
The Tigers beat the Wildcats in the 2019-20 season by 23 points at the Spanos Center. The Tigers average 69 points against the Wildcats and haven't played in Ogden since 2005.
