STOCKTON, CA – A chilly Stockton evening was the scene for the final home game of the season for the Tigers. On a night where the seven Tiger seniors were honored, missed opportunities is eventually what did Pacific in, dropping the final game 2-0 to Portland.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Tigers put the pressure on early, with two shots from Ryanne Molenaar in the first 25 minutes. Pacific had two shots on goal in the first half, testing the freshman goalkeeper for Portland early but she was up to the test. The first shot on goal for the Pilots was a goal as they took the lead in the 37th minute.
The Tigers continued to show lots of energy in the second half, getting off four shots in the first ten minutes of the second half. The two teams continued to battle in the second half before Portland buried another goal in the 80th minute. The Tigers did not lose faith, with Jenae Packard just missing off the crossbar in the 90thminute.
TIGER LEADERS:
Lauren Frohan, Kelsey Oen, and Ryanne Molenaar all had one shot on goal for the Tigers. 19 different players got in the game for Pacific.
Goalkeeper Brenna Crump had three saves in goal to complete her stellar season.
