STOCKTON, Calif. – Four Tigers had double-digit kills as Pacific posted a .206 hitting percentage en route to a 29-27, 23-25, 25-23, 25-17 win over Saint Mary's at the Alex G. Spanos Center on Friday night. 
The win avenges a straight set loss to the Gaels on October 15 in Moraga. With the win, Pacific raises its record to 12-13 overall and 9-5 in the West Coast Conference and the loss drops the Gaels to 14-10 overall and 8-7 in the WCC.
 
For Pacific, 
Alexa Edwards  - 11 kills and 10 digs – and 
Gabby Leo – 33 assists and 13 digs – each had a double double as it was an all-around team effort in the win for the Tigers. Additionally, 
Jadyn Tubbs had 23 digs and three service aces; Jenna Helller added 25 assists and three service aces. Plus, they also got 14 kills by 
Sedona Sherman and 10 each from 
Kennedy Kaminsky and 
Lucy Carpenter. In addition, 
Darina Kumanova had nine kills, seven digs and four service aces in the win. 
"The reality is that it is about competing. Our girls competed against their girls and tonight we were the better team. What a great job by all of them," said an excited Pacific head coach 
Greg Gibbons. 
For Saint Mary's, Hawley Harrer and Kristen Erland had 12 and 11 kills, respectively to lead the Gaels. The Gaels frontline had 14 blocks in a losing cause as Selibe Christensen and Harrer each had seven block assists.
 
Set 1
• Pacific had a pair of four-point deficits early which prompted a Tigers' timeout and they responded with three of the next four to make a 14-12 set to force the Gaels into their first timeout.
• Trailing by five, 17-12, the Tigers used their second and final timeout. Again, Pacific had an answer and rallied to tie the set at on three more occasions en route to its first lead since 1-0 for a 22-21 advantage. The rally forced Saint Mary's to use its second and final timeout.
• The two teams were tied at 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27 as neither team could pull away to take the set until the Tigers got back-to-back kills by 
Sedona Sherman and 
Alexa Edwards for a 29-27 set one victory.
• For the set, the Tigers had 20 kills with five from Sherman and three each from Edwards and Kumanova. Leo and Heller had 10 and eight assists, respectively. The service game for Pacific led to four service aces including a pair by 
Jadyn Tubbs.
Set 2
• The tightly contested saw the set tied on 10 occasions and featured five lead changes.
• Pacific had the early lead on the visitors taking a lead as large as three before a 6-2 spurt by the visitors put them ahead for the first time in the set at 16-15.
• The two teams went back to trading sideouts and tied on six occasions as the Gaels scored three of the final four points for a 25-23 set victory.
Set 3
• The third set saw the two teams tied on eight occasions and had five lead changes. 
• A brief swing that saw the Tigers get points on back-to-back kills by 
Kennedy Kaminsky and 
Ramonni Cook to go along with a pair of Gaels' attack errors put Pacific ahead 13-10 and for the remainder of the set.
• The set was like the match for the Tigers with a balanced offensive attack that saw three kills each from 
Alexa Edwards, 
Sedona Sherman and 
Darina Kumanova to go along with two each from 
Ramonni Cook and 
Kennedy Kaminsky. 
Gabby Leo and 
Jenna Heller had nine and five assists, respectively. Eight-different players had a dig and the frontline had three blocks.
 
Set 4
• The fourth set, like the third set, the two teams tied on eight occasions and had five lead changes.
• Facing a 15-11 deficit, the Tigers regained the lead with a decisive 14-2 run to end the set and the match. 
• The attack for Pacific in the set saw 
Kennedy Kaminsky lead the Tigers with four kills, three each from 
Lucy Carpenter and 
Alexa Edwards. Heller and Leo had seven and four assists, respectively. Heller and 
Darina Kumanova each served up a pair of aces to go along with three blocks for the Tigers.
Next, Pacific will host nationally-ranked BYU and San Diego on Thursday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 20 at noon, respectively.
