The success for Crump has not just been this week though as she is tied for third in the nation with seven shutouts on the season and the defense is number two in the nation in average goals allowed with 0.27.

QUOTABLE: "This is such an incredible honor for my team, my coaches, and I to go with a great start to conference. We are excited to continue to compete throughout conference play. Come see us in action this Wednesday, October 6th at 7 p.m. on our home field." - Brenna Crump

"Congratulations to Brenna, a very well deserved and earned award for her. She had another very good performance this past Saturday and has been so solid all season for us in goal. It is awesome for her to be honored by the WCC with this weekly award. As she said it was a total team effort to have earned another shutout this past Saturday at Loyola Marymount. Our back four has been extremely consistent this season and with conference play starting the stakes have gotten even higher. The entire team is thriving in the competitive environment and challenges that each opponent brings for every game. We applaud Brenna for this recognition but we know this team will continue its collective journey to make even more noise during the remainder of the WCC season." - Danesha Adams and J.J. Wozniak
