Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Zachary Karbach

Tigers Bested by Dons

STOCKTON, CA – Fresh off a big win over Gonzaga, the Tigers were back on the pitch hosting San Francisco. The Dons scored with mere seconds on the clock in the first half and that was all it took to give the Tigers just their second home loss this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The two teams battled back and forth through most of the first half, the Tigers had a chance early, with Jade Enalen ripping a shot off the crossbar.  The Dons, coming off a three-game losing streak were aggressive early and often, with six shots on goal in the first half. The Dons lone goal came with five seconds left in the first half.

Pacific got back on attack in the second half with seven shots with two shots on goal including one that bounced off the crossbar and was grabbed by the goalkeeper. The Tigers were unable to find the net and fell 1-0 to San Francisco.

TIGER LEADERS:
Ryanne Molenaar had two shots with both of them being on goal. Lauren Frohan also had a shot on goal for the Tigers.

Goalkeeper Brenna Crump had eight saves in goal after having 13 saves in the Tigers win over Gonzaga.

FROM THE COACHES:

"This one is going to sting for a bit," said Co-Head Coaches J.J. Wozniak and Danesha Adams. "USF finished out the first half and we did not, all credit to them. Unfortunately, that is the difference in the match. We competed hard and created a lot of quality moments going forward, we just were not able to find a goal. These WCC matches are all so tight, you cannot take any plays off so we will learn from tonight and be better for it when we get back at it next Friday night at San Diego.

UP NEXT:

The Tigers are back in action next Friday night as they travel to Southern California to match up with San Diego, kickoff will be at 7:00 PM.
