Hungry for New Competition, the Tigers Head to the East Coast

STOCKTON, CA – After their exciting match last week against the Santa Clara Broncos, the Tigers will now travel across the country to match up with Maryland. The Tigers are currently tied for first in the WCC. This match will not affect the Tigers' conference record and they will be back in conference action October 23 against Saint Mary's.

LAST TIME OUT: 
The Tigers tangled with Santa Clara to a 2-2 draw on October 9. A game filled with high octane offense, the Broncos took 24 shots while the Tigers took 15 shots.  The Tigers led in overtime shots, 5-4. 

EFFICIENT OFFENSE: 
The Tigers have scored two more goals then their opponents this season despite having 18 fewer shots. Ryan Her has scored three goals on eight shots on goal. Emory Rappaport has three goals on four shots on goal. Mathias Saether and Mamoru Kamisasanuki lead the team in assists as they both have four. 
 
PRE-SEASON HONORS: 
Midfielders Ryan Her and Yazid Omri were selected to the preseason All-West Coast Conference team. The Tigers, along with Portland and Loyola Marymount, were the only institutions with multiple pre-season selections. Omri started in all eight of the team's matches in the spring, posting a team-high six points with two goals and two assists. Her played in all eight contests and played 697 minutes of action as he made his second consecutive All-WCC second team.

IT'S ABOUT THE JOURNEY NOT THE DESTINATION: 
At 2,773 miles, this trip will be the longest for the Tigers this season by over 2,100 miles and the longest road trip that is on record for the Tigers.
