SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Pacific women's track team completed its opening meet of the 2021 season at the On Your Marks Collegiate Opener at Westmont College in Santa Barbara on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Saturday's track meet was the first in more than a year for the majority of UOP's team due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Senior Anna Martinez posted a personal best time of 11:16 in her first race of the 2021 season. This was Martinez's first time running the 3000m since her freshman year when she finished at 11:29.73.
- Redshirt senior Emma Winkler was the lone Tiger student athlete to compete in 2020 at the West Coast Invitational in Feb. 2020. Winkler ran the 5000m on Saturday finishing second with a time of 18:45.
