STOCKTON, Calif. - Jessica Blakeslee, a senior on the women's basketball team, has been named a recipient of a 2020 Pacific Athletics Four Pillars Award, given to a student-athlete who exemplifies each of Pacific's four core identities: Family, Balance, Winning Spirit and Innovation. 

Selected as a West Coast Conference All-Academic member this past season, Blakeslee is the ideal model of a successful Division I student-athlete. Whether it is on the hardwood or in the classroom, her dedication to being the best at her craft does not waiver. Additionally, she puts in extra work across all facets of her life, often finding herself in the engineering lab, on the basketball court or in the weight room. As a whole, Jessica chose Pacific because of her pursuit for an engineering degree at nationally ranked university as well as her goal for competing in one of the most respected women's basketball conferences in the country. Furthermore, Blakeslee always finds time to enjoy events and social opportunities with friends.
 
As a four-year guard at Pacific, Jessica led the charge of getting the women's basketball program back into the postseason. Although her promising senior year was cut short due to season-ending injury, Jessica is the athlete who takes competitive spirit to the next level, pushing those around her to their highest potential. Despite encountering numerous personal hardships during her time in Stockton, she always continued to lead, inspire and love. 

As part of her engineering work, Blakeslee created a statistical program specifically designed for Pacific women's basketball as well as for other programs in the future. Passionate about applying her skills in the real world, she uses her engineering background to stay involved with the innovative and statistical side of basketball.
 
During her time as a Tiger, Jessica has invested her heart and soul into the program, the athletic department and the university as a whole. For the coaching staff, Blakeslee will always be family.
