Tiger Talk: Where Are They Now?

STOCKTON, Calif. - In light of the current events happening around the country, the Pacific Athletic Foundation has decided to postpone this week's Tiger Talk, originally scheduled for June 2nd, to Tuesday, June 9th.

By fostering mutual respect, engaging in difficult dialogue and caring for one another in these uncertain times, we can be a powerful force that makes a better place.

However, the Tiger Talk on June 9th will be a special "Where Are They Now?" edition, which will consist of three former student-athletes who have enjoyed great success in their industries upon graduation from Pacific. Featured guests include former volleyball player, Heather Cox '92 (Schoeny), former  Olympic swimmer and men's water polo player, Brad Schumacher '97, and former men's basketball player, Charles Terrell '94.

Hosted by Zack Bayrouty, the voice of Pacific men's basketball, the Tiger Talk will be live from 4:00-5:00 pm PST via Zoom.

Heather Cox, a 1992 graduate, was captain of the Pacific Volleyball team from 1988-1991. Guiding her team to a top-five ranking nationally during all four years, the Tigers reached the Final Four and were the National Runner-Up in 1990. Ultimately, she graduated with a degree in Communications and currently works as a broadcaster for NBC Sports. While she mainly serves as a sideline reporter for Thursday Night Football, Cox also covers both the summer and winter Olympic games as well as the PGA Tour. Prior to her time with NBC, she worked in similar roles at ESPN for 22 years.

Brad Schumacher, a 1997 graduate, earned All-American honors for water polo in 1992, '93, 94' and '96, while also collecting All-American honors as a swimmer in 1994 and '95. While on the swim team at Pacific, Schumacher recorded the fastest-ever times in the Big West Conference's 50, 100 and 200 freestyle events. Additionally, he led the men's water polo team to a No. 5 national ranking during the 1993 season, as well as being ranked No. 6 in 1996. Overall, Schumacher went on to be a two-time, two-sport Olympian, winning two gold medals in swimming as a member of the US relay teams at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Four years later, he was a member of the U.S. Men's Water Polo team in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Currently, he serves as the co-founder of KAP 7, Inc., one of the world's largest suppliers of water polo equipment.

Charles (Chuck) Terrell, a 1994 graduate, was a point guard on the men's basketball team from 1992-94 under former head coach, Bob Thomason. Currently, Terrell works as a professional basketball marketing executive for Nike, overseeing NBA All-Star Kevin Durant's shoe contract in addition to working with a variety of athletes on developing their brand.
