FULLERTON, Calif. – The Pacific softball team put in a complete team effort Saturday evening at Anderson Family Field in Fullerton, downing tournament host Cal State Fullerton 5-1 on day two of the Titan Classic to improve to 3-0 for the first time since 2013.
 
How it Happened

• Myka Sutherlin brought the heat for the Tigers in the circle, going a complete seven innings with seven strikeouts and just three walks against 28 batters faced.
• Caitlyn Sung went 2 for 4 on the night, scoring the opening run in the top of the fourth inning off a double down the right field line from Ralene Estrada.
• Pacific's big offensive inning came one frame later, beginning with Megan Wachholtz reaching base on a sacrifice bunt to score Madison Kahwaty.
• Carly Lucchetti tripled to left center to score Wachholtz, then Hanna Krosky slapped a base hit into right field to score Lucchetti. Pacific's offensive damage was capped off with Madeline Domingo's first career home run in the sixth inning.
• Defensively, the Tigers held Fullerton to 0-11 with runners on base and 0-3 with runners in scoring position. 
• Sutherlin got out of a second-inning jam with the Titans putting runners on first and second after a single, a stolen base and a walk.

• "Tonight was a complete team win! Great pitching by Myka (Sutherlin), tremendous defense and tremendous hitting and execution on offense. We did so many things right, there are too many to list. Fullerton is a national power and we did a tremendous job battling all night and controlling the tempo the entire game."
