Tigers Turn in Top 10 Finishes at West Coast Invitational

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The Pacific women's track team completed its opening meet of the 2020 season, putting up numerous top-10 finishes at the West Coast Invitational Saturday morning at Bellarmine College Prep in San Jose. 
 
How it Happened
  • Emily Counter competed in her first meet for the Pacific track team, finishing the 100 Meter Dash in 14.01. Kailey Espinoza finished right behind her in 14.71.
  • Emily Wylie finished third out of 10 in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:25.44, six seconds off a college best set at the 2017 Bryan Clay Invite. Saturday was her fastest time since the 2017 Bulldog Invitational, when she finished the event in 2:21.75.
  • Jasmine Gonzalez and Emma Winkler showed out in their first events of the 2020 season, each posting top-10 finished with times of 10:36.01 and 10:37.35, respectively. 
  • Winkler's time in the 3000 Meter run was four seconds off her college best of 10:33.67, set at last year's West Coast Invitational.
