STOCKTON, Calif. - Following a two-week hiatus due to COVID-19, the Pacific men's basketball team returns to action on Sunday when they travel to Santa Barbara to take on the Westmont College Warriors.
Originally scheduled to be played at the Alex G. Spanos Center on Dec. 4, this matchup marks the start of a Southern California swing for the Tigers as they visit Cal State Northridge on Tuesday afternoon to close out the road trip.

THINGS TO KNOW:
- Pacific and Westmont have met only one other time and it was just over 36 years ago, an 83-81 Pacific victory at the Spanos Center on Dec. 4, 1984.
- In their most recent game prior to the COVID pause, Pacific grinded out a 74-70 overtime win over the Montana State Bobcats at the Spanos Center on Dec. 2, a game in which senior Broc Finstuen tallied a career-high 19 points and matched a career-best with nine rebounds. Sophomore Daniss Jenkins scored 17 points and senior Jeremiah Bailey notched a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
- Overall, it marked the second straight contest where Finstuen, Jenkins and Bailey scored in double figures for Pacific. In overtime, the Tigers also outscored the Bobcats 10-6 and went 4-for-9 from the floor in the extra period on a day where they managed to win despite shooting just 34.3 percent for the contest.
SCOUTING THE WARRIORS:
- Westmont College of the Golden State Athletic Conference saw its season opener versus Saint Katherine postponed on Nov. 14. Not playing their first game of the season until Nov. 25, the Warriors suffered a 97-79 loss at Cal State Northridge to open the year.
- Amidst another flurry of COVD cancellations, Westmont's second and most recent contest was played on Dec. 11, a 101-99 loss in double overtime versus Concordia Irvine.
- Sunday's contest with Pacific marks their final contest versus a D-1 opponent on the season and their last game scheduled for over a month as they play next on Jan. 23 at Hope International.
- In their matchup against the Matadors, senior Abram Carrasco led the charge for the Warriors with a game-high 28 points. Following the 2019-20 season, Carrasco was named an NAIA First Team All-American, the fifth Warrior to earn the honor in program history. Hailing fromTucson, Ariz., he was also named GSAC Player of the Year, the second Westmont player ever to earn the honor and the first to do so outright.
