Pacific Prepares for Two Matches in the Big Apple

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's soccer team will head to New York this weekend for two matches, first taking on Manhattan on Friday at 4:00 p.m. before facing Long Island on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. The Tigers are coming off their first win of the year, a 2-1 decision over North Arizona on Sunday that included assists on both goals from Isabella Pariente

LAST TIME OUT 
  • The Tigers are coming off their first victory of the season, enjoying a 2-1 decision over Northern Arizona on Sunday in Stockton thanks to two second half assists from Isabella Pariente
  • Jenae Packard and Sigrid Aas each found the back of the net for the first time in 2019 against the Lumberjacks. Both goals came in 1v1 situation with the NAU goalkeeper 


TALE OF THE TAPE – PACIFIC VS. MANHATTAN 
  • Pacific is 0-2 away from Knoles Field this fall and will be looking for its first road victory when tangling with the Jaspers. Manhattan, meanwhile, is 1-1 at home coming off a 1-0 win over St. Francis Brooklyn this past Friday
  • The Tigers have reached double digits in the shots column in all but one games this year, while Manhattan has allowed double digit shots in every game with the exception of their previous outing, conceding just five shots to St. Francis Brooklyn 
  • Arianna Montefusco leads the Jaspers with a pair of goals on the year and an assist on 11 shots, including a team high eight on goal 
  • Meanwhile, Pariente's second half efforts against Northern Arizona vaulter her to the top of Pacific's assist board with three go along with a goal on 12 shots and a team high six on goal

  • Pacific has found the back of the net in two of the last three games, picking up steam after struggling early on. On the other side, Long Island owns just one goal to their credit.
  • Grace Cagnina owns the Sharks' lone goal on the year, coming in a 1-0 win at Seton Hall on September 6. Cagnina has started all five games this year for LIU.
