Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Tigers Fall to Nevada, 2-1

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's soccer program came up short in its match against Nevada on Sunday, falling to the Wolfpack 2-1 at Knoles Field.
 

In Case You Missed It

  • Pacific and Nevada were scoreless through the first 45:00.
  • In the 53rd minute, sophomore Isabella Pariente, off of the foot of fellow sophomore Jenae Packard, scored her first goal of the season to give the Tigers the lead at 1-0. 
  • Nearly 15 minutes later (68:26), Nevada answered back with its first goal of the day. Wolfpack keeper, Kendal Stovall sent a ball in the air across midfield. The ball was picked up by forward Gabby Brown and was sent sailing over the head of Tiger keeper Weronika Baranowska and into the back of the net.
  • Just under two minutes later Nevada's Alexis Friesen scored the deciding goal for the Wolfpack. 
     

Statistically Speaking

  • The Tigers controlled most of the game, out-shooting their opponent, 17-9 with four shots on goal. 
  • Ryanne Molenaar led Pacific with five shots, one on goal. 
  • Pariente finished with three shots, while Melani More and Erin Brown each had two shots on the afternoon. 
     

Up Next

  • Pacific will have play in one more match at home before hitting the road. The Tigers will host UC Davis on Aug. 29 at 7:00 p.m. They will round out next week's play with a road game at Fresno State on Sept. 1 at 7:00 p.m.
