WHAT COACH DAVIS SAID:
On finishing the tournament on top: "The whole preseason is meant to get you ready for conference play. In March, hopefully we get a scenario where we have to play these back-to-back games, so we know we are getting ready for a very good team in SMU and we are going to have to mentally and physically prepare in a short turnaround."

On closing out the victory: "Indiana State is a good team. Even though their record is not great, they are young and do not stop coming at you. We just wanted to make sure we responded in time. I thought we did a good job in the beginnings of quarters, especially in the first and the fourth, stringing together good possessions both defensively and offensively."
