CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Pacific women's basketball team (1-1) battled with No. 6/7 Oregon State all night, but ultimately fell to the nationally-ranked Beavers, 69-57, on Monday night in the second round of the Preseason WNIT.
After defeating UMKC in the opening round of the tournament, the Tigers kept up with OSU throughout the entire contest despite never having the lead.

- Less than one minute later, Valerie Higgins got on the board with her first two points as the redshirt junior kept the Tigers within eight of OSU. With both teams trading buckets back and forth, Pacific made progress as they trailed Oregon State at the end of the third quarter, 52-43.
- As the final period began, UOP would not net their first points of the fourth quarter until another McDavid jump shot at 6:02.
- Hoping for one final comeback, Randhawa and Tryggeddson both knocked down three-pointers midway through the fourth as the Tigers made one more push against the Oregon State defense.
