Pacific Prepares for Showdown At Santa Clara

STOCKTON, Calif.- Following a shutout victory at Portland to open conference play last weekend, the Pacific men's soccer (4-6-1, 1-0-0) will travel to Santa Clara to take on the Broncos at 7:00 pm on Saturday night.

LAST TIME OUT:
  • The Tigers defeated Portland, 1-0, on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Merlo Field in Portland, Ore.
  • Senior Tariq Branche netted the lone goal for UOP on an assist from sophomore Jose Angel Reyes in the 40thminute of the match. This goal was Branche's second of the season as well as Reyes' third assist of the year.
  • Pacific's win over the Pilots marked the first time in program history that the team has won their conference opener.
 
SERIES HISTORY:
  • This meeting between the Tigers and the Broncos will be the sixth all-time, with UOP holding a 2-1-2 advantage in the series.
  • Pacific has topped Santa Clara in the previous two matches, recording a 4-3 win in Santa Clara on Oct. 18, 2017 and a 3-2 victory at Knoles Field on Oct. 13, 2018.
