Tigers Open WCC Play at Portland

PORTLAND, Ore.- The Pacific men's soccer team begins conference play tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 12 as they make the trip north to face off against the Portland Pilots.
 
The match, which will begin at 7:00 pm, can be viewed live at game time on the WCC Network.

LAST TIME OUT:
  • The Tigers were defeated by the University of Denver, 2-1, on Sunday, Oct. 6. Freshman Derick Roque scored the lone goal for Pacific in the 76th minute of the match.
 
TALE OF THE TAPE:
  • Despite dropping their previous three matches, Pacific enters conference play with an overall record of 3-6-1. Aiming to get back in the win column, the Tigers will match up against a Portland team that currently holds a 4-1-1 record at home, with their only loss at Merlo Field coming at the hands of Coastal Carolina on Sept. 1.
  • UOP enters the contest with a 3-3 record against the Pilots since 2014. The Tigers defeated Portland, 3-2, in their last matchup on Nov. 3, 2018 at Knoles Field.
  • Saturday's showdown with the Pilots marks the third of four consecutive road games for Pacific. Following this meeting, the Tigers will have a week off before they head to Santa Clara on Oct. 19 for another 7:00 pm contest. UOP's next home match is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26 versus Loyola Marymount, when Pacific will honor Breast Cancer Awareness throughout the night.
