MORAGA, Calif. - The Pacific women's tennis team traveled to Saint Mary's Saturday for their last match of the season as they fell to the Gaels, 4-0.
The Tigers trailed early as they lost the doubles point when Maayan Sela and Cristina Saenz de Buruaga Ruiz dropped their set 6-0, while Yuki Asami and Anna Ramos Vinolas lost to Manji and Pelletier, 6-1.
The Gaels never trailed after doubles as they racked up three straight points in singles action. Ramos Vinolas dropped her match to Pelletier in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1 as Saenz de Buruaga Ruiz fell to Clementine Clement, 6-0, 6-3. Saint Mary's secured the match point when Sabrina Rodriguez fell to Kareena Manji, 6-4, 6-1.
The Black and Orange finish the 2016-2017 season 5-15 overall and 0-9 in the West Coast Conference, while the Gaels improve to 11-7 overall and 6-2 in WCC action.
