Pacific, Air Force Set For First Ever Meeting

Box Score

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Pacific Tigers and Air Force Falcons meet for the first time ever on Tuesday night in Colorado Springs with tip-off set for 6 p.m. PT. The Tigers fly into the Air Force Academy still in search of their first win of the season after dropping Saturday's contest to the Nevada Wolfpack 89-74, dropping them to 0-3 on the young season.

Pacific saw sophomore forward Jahlil Tripp notch the team's first double-double of the season on Saturday as he scored 24 points and pulled down 15 rebounds, the first time a Tiger player recorded 15 or more rebounds since Sam Willard had 18 versus Cal State Bakersfield on Jan. 11, 2011. Tripp was Pacific's lone double-figure scorer in the contest.

Nevada went 17-for-34 from beyond the arc and were led by Josh Hall, who went 7-for-10 from three-point range and scored a game-high 25 points. Kendall Stephens, Caleb Martin, Cody Martin and Jordan Caroline all scored in double-figures for the Wolf Pack.

Tuesday will mark Air Force's second contest in as many nights as the Falcons defeated Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Monday 57-47 to improve to 3-0 on the season. Ryan Manning led the way for the Falcons with 20 points on 7-for-15 shooting. Manning had nearly half of Air Force's made field goals as the Falcons pulled out a victory despite shooting just 30 percent from the floor (15-for-50).

The game will be broadcast on radio in Stockton on 1280 AM KWSX and can also be heard via the KWSX iHeart Radio station from anywhere using your connected device.
