Final Results
STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's swimming and diving teams combined team victory at the Tiger-hosted Pacific Invitational at Chris Kjeldsen Pool on Saturday afternoon.
The women's team collected 941.5 points to finish ahead of Fresno Pacific (843), BYU (702.5), and San Jose State (610). The men were second (726) behind the University of Denver (980). Finishing third for the men was BYU (540) followed by Stanford (510) and Fresno Pacific (378).
The two day PAC Invite wrapped up with nine events on Saturday, including the 400 Medley Relay, 200 Back, 100 Free, 200 Breast, 500 Free, 100 Fly, 200 IM, 200 Free Relay, and the 1650 Free.
To open the day, the Tiger women finished 1-2 in the 200 Medley Relay. Cai Hong Singh, Semaj Walker, Kenna Ramey, and Meredith Lillie finished second with a time of 3:50.03. Pacific's "B" team, which included Isabella Green, Elina Rosario, Kathleen Gani, and Taylor Hosmer finished third (3:53.85). On the men's side Makoa Haneberg, Yahav Shahaf, Mason Miller, and Stewart Harrison combined for a first place finish after clocking a time of 3:20.82.
Then in the 200 Free Relay, Miles MacKenzie matched up with Shahaf, Miller, and Harrison for a second place finish (1:22.64). Becca Aguilar, Ramey, Walker, and Lillie finished just under a second faster (1:36.09) than Fresno Pacific to claim the win in the women's relay.
Individually, Ramey and Angela Gagliardo highlighted the Pacific women's team with Gagliardo earning top finishes in the 200 Breast (2:18.78) and in the 200 IM (2:04.78). Ramey was first in the 100 Fly (55.21) and second in the 100 Free (52.33).
Hosmer snagged a second place finish int eh 500 Free (5:04.53), while Brigid McNally was Pacific's top finisher in the 1650 Free (2nd, 17:36.75). Green was third in the 200 Back (2:07.85), while Lillie claimed third in the 100 Free (53.21).
In both the men's 100 Free and the 100 Fly Pacific had four swimmers finish among the top seven. Dylan Toy was the Tigers' top finisher in the 100 Free (3rd, 45.73) and newcomer Mason Miller highlighted the performances in the 100 Fly with a second place finish (49.75).
Niles Biolley registered two top-three finishes with a first place finish in the 200 IM (1:53.88) and a third place finish in the 1:49.87. Neil Franka was the Tigers top finisher in the 200 Breast (2:10.36), while Michael Kang was the top finisher in the 500 Free (4:42.69) and Brandon Yang int eh 1650 Free (17:00.72).
In the diving portion of the meet Isabelle Huynh was fifth in the one-meter dive with 92.45 points and third in the three-meter dive with 124.5 points. Irene Kuang was third in the one-meter with 127.15 points and Lillian Sam was sixth in the one-meter with 83.40 points.
The Pacific mens' and women's swimmign and diving teams will return to the competition pool the weekend of Nov. 16-18, when they travlel to the UNLV Invite.
