Biography

2020-21 (Senior) 
All-Academic MPSF Scholar. Scored in the 200 fly at the MPSF Championships by placing 10th in 1:51.33. Swam a leg of the 200-yard medley relay that placed fifth at MPSF Championships. Also swam the 100 fly, placing 19th. Finished 19th in the 200 free. 

2019-20 (Junior)
Participated in seven meets for Pacific his junior year, highlighted by breaking the 50 second barrier for the first time in the 100 Fly (49.53) at the UNLV invite. He also earned MPSF Academic Honors.

2018-19 (Sophomore)
Posted his fastest 50 Free time to date at the Pacific Invitational in the Tigers' 50 Free Relay, clocking in at 22.02. Tallied personal bests in the 200 Free (1:39.91) and 200 Fly (1:50.26) at the MPSF Championships. His 200 Free time was the third-fastest on the team and his 200 Fly was second.

2017-2018 (Freshman)
Kang proved to be a successful distance swimmer for the Tigers in his debut season, having the second fastest time for the men in the 500 Free (4:37.04) and 1000 Free (9:54.80). Also placed third on the team in the 400 IM (4:09.92). Took first in a dual meet with CSU Bakersfield in the 500 Free, clocking in at 4:41.33.

High School
Participated in the 200 Free and 500 Free at Grand Arts High School in Los Angeles. Took first in the 400 Free in 4:10.81 at the 2016 CA SCS/RAA Junior Olympic Championships in Santa Clarita.
