Stockton, Calif. - The No. 4 Pacific men's water polo team dispatched No. 20 Santa Clara Saturday at the Aggie Roundup, 15-3, as Tim Reeves tallied a hat trick.
Engin Ege Colak and Luke Pavillard scored twice each, while Aleksandar Petrovic, Derek Clappis, Luis Araya, Andrea De Nardi, Kale Ai, Devon Thumwood, Andres Schmidt and Ikko Saito all also scored.
Alen Osmanovic recorded 12 saves in goal, with a pair of steals while holding the Broncos to just three goals in 32 minutes.
The Tigers scored the game's first nine goals, as the result was never in doubt. Colak tallied the first two before De Nardi and Petrovic stretched the lead to 4-0 midway through the second quarter.
Schmidt, Reeves, Saito and Pavillard stretched Pacific's lead to 8-0 at halftime, and after Pavillard struck again in the third, the Broncos got on the board to make it 9-1 with 4:42 to go in the third. Reeves, Araya, and Ai ended the third with goals for a 12-1 lead headed into the fourth.
Clappis, Thumwood and Reeves tacked on, while Santa Clara picked up a pair of even strength goals to settle on the final margin.
The Tigers are outscoring opponents 109-38 on the season, as Pacific improves to 7-0 on the year. Santa Clara falls to 4-3.
Pacific will face Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Sunday at 9:20 a.m., followed by a 2:40 p.m. contest against Redlands.
