Biography

2017 (Senior): 
ACWPC All-American, All-Golden Coast Conference Second Team, and All-GCC Academic Team selection, Thumwood finished his senior campaign with 42 goals, 38 assists, and 80 points. Scored in 22 matches this season, along with 12 multi-goal games. Registered six hat-tricks including a season-high four goals against Wagner (Sept. 2) and No. 9 Pepperdine (Oct. 20). Scored a pair of goals and three assists in the NCAA Opening Round against No. 17 Pomona Pitzer (Nov. 25). Had 12 occasions in which he recorded two or more assists. Finished with 24 steals and a shooting percentage of .438.

2016 (Junior):
Named a 2016 AWPC All America Honorable Mention and earned Second Team All-Golden Coast Conference honors as he scored 28 goals with 27 assists for the Tigers as a junior, totaling 55 points. He scored in 16 of 26 games, with seven multi-goal games. Tallied four hat-tricks including four against No. 16 Cal Baptist (Sept. 16). Added three goals against No. 18 Harvard (Sept. 4), No. 5 Stanford (Sept. 24), and No. 14 George Washington (Oct. 20). Registered assists in 18 games with seven multi-assist games. Picked up four helpers against No. 5 Stanford (Sept. 24) for a seven-point game, and added three assists against No. 6 Long Beach State (Oct. 28). He recorded 32 steals and drew 11 exclusions on they year.

2015 (Sophomore):
An ACWPC All-America Honorable Mention, All-MPSF Honorable Mention and MPSF All-Academic team selection
, Devon Thumwood scored 50 goals in 28 games, finishing 13th in the MPSF in goals per game with 1.79. Posted goals in 22 of 28 games with 18 multi-goal games. Scored a career-best five goals against #9 Pepperdine (Oct. 31) and added four against San Jose State (Oct. 22). Also turned in hat tricks against #19 Air Force (Sept. 6), St. Francis-Brooklyn (Sept. 11), #4 Stanford (Oct. 18), #14 Bucknell (Oct. 23), and #2 California (Nov. 7). Added 15 steals defensively on the season.

2014 (Freshman):
Thumwood emerged as the Tigers'' third-leading scorer with 31 goals in 24 games, an average of 1.29 goals per contest. Scored in 14 different contests with nine multi-goal games. Posted a career-high four goals against #2 Stanford (Nov. 15). In the Tigers'' first eight games, Thumwood scored a single goal in two games, playing in six before he exploded with back-to-back hat tricks against #8 UC San Diego at the Kap7 NorCal Classic (Sept. 21) and against Cal Baptist at the Aggie Shootout (Sept. 26). Added hat tricks against #3 Cal (Oct. 3), #5 Long Beach State at SoCal (Oct. 12), in a win over #7 UC Santa Barbara (Nov. 2) and Pepperdine (Nov. 16). 

High School/Club:
Devon Thumwood joined the Tigers from Calgary, Alberta, where he played on the Youth National Team in the summers of 2010-12, the Junior National Team in 2012 and 2013, and with the Senior National Team Training Centre from 2012-2014. Thumwood earned Canadian National Championships All-Star team awards at the 16 & Under Championships in 2010 as well as the 18 & Under Championships in 2011 and 2012.

Personal:
Devon is the son of Martin and Susan Thumwood. He is majoring in Economics.
