Honolulu, Hawai'i - The Pacific women's tennis team fell at Hawai'i on Monday, as Viktoriya Dzyuba won both her singles and doubles matches, but the Rainbow Wahine grabbed a 4-1 victory.

Dzyuba paired with Anneroos Nederstigt in first doubles for a 6-3 win over Klára Pribylová & Paulina Petriskova. But Hawai'i won both second and third doubles to take the point. Roxanne Resma & Cindy Nguyen topped Cristina Saenz de Buruaga Ruiz & Katie Dyson, 6-4, while Sarah Gealer & Marina Hruba outlasted Maayan Sela & Sabrina Rodriguez, 7-5.

In singles, Dzyuba posted a 6-3, 6-2 win over Nguyen in first singles. But Hawai'i answered back as Hruba topped Sela, 6-0, 6-2 in second singles. Gealer turned in a 6-2, 6-1 decision over Saenz deBuruaga Ruiz at third singles. The fifth singles match of 5. Resma over Rodriguez by a 6-1, 6-2 scored clinched the match for Hawai'i.

Dyson's match at fourth singles with Pribylová went unfinished, as did the sixth singles tilt between Yuki Asami and Petriskova.

"We battled hard today and have a great effort but Hawai'i played some very solid tennis," head coach Charlotte Scatliffe said. "Even though we didn't get the win I am proud of the teams heart, fight, and spirit over the past two matches back to back. Viktoriya Dzyuba went undefeated in singles this trip and extends her winning record to 9-1 this season. We will take these tough battles with us back home to prepare for our first home match on the Eve Zimmerman courts."

The Tigers fall to 5-6 on the year and return home to face George Washington on Saturday at 2 p.m.
