Stockton, Calif. - Graduated Pacific women's basketball senior Kendall Kenyon will be joining a team of collegiate all-stars for a tour of China for six games from June 18 to 29.
The NetScouts Basketball USA All-Stars selected 10 recently graduated players to face the national teams of China, the Czech Republic and the Canadian World University team. The group of four will play a double-round robin, with the first round of games in Huangshi in Hubei Province from June 22-24. Then the squads will head to Ganzhou in Jiangxi Province to play three games from June 26-28.
"I'm very excited for the opportunity to play in China," Kenyon said. "I am looking forward to traveling to new places and being able to play against some great competition from around the world."
Kenyon completed her four years at Pacific this past season, earning her degree in May after re-writing the Pacific women's basketball record book. She finished her Pacific career as one of the best players in Tigers' history, holding Pacific's career records in rebounds (1,140), offensive boards (402), double-doubles (49), and blocks (172), and 20+ rebound games (4), while finishing second in rebounding average (9.3), and fourth in field goals (573) and scoring (1,442).
The First Team All-West Coast Conference selection in 2015 also ranks in the Tigers' top 10 in 11 other categories, owns nine single-season records, and appears on the single-season top 10 lists for 29 separate records.
Kenyon will be joined on the NetScouts Basketball USA All-Stars' 10-player squad by Shannon Smith (PG, Michigan), Haiden Palmer (G, Gonzaga), Angela Rodriguez, (PG, Wisconsin-Milwaukee), Tear'a Laudermill (G, Nebraska), D'Shara Strange, (G, Northern Colorado), Emily Burns (G/F, Nevada), Jen Reese (F, Colorado), Nikki Greene (F/C, Penn State) and Cierra Warren (C, San Diego State).
