Bandon, Ore. - Ending day two of the Bandon Dunes Championships on Monday, Mar. 10, the Pacific golf team remained in 14th place after shooting a +23 in round two. Battling tough conditions on the course, the field struggled to score throughout the day as no team broke par for the round. Overall, Pacific is +40 through 36 holes.
Pacific's junior ace Byron Meth continued his aggressive play at the top of the lineup as he went for the pin throughout the round to go just one-over with a 72. Meth carded a team-best five birdies in the round including a pair on his first two holes of the morning. While going for the pin payed off for five birdies it also cost him a few strokes after posting four bogies including a pair of double bogies. With his aggresive play, Meth was able to push himself inside of the top-20 on the leaderboard as he finished the day in a tie for 18th overall at +3. Meth and the field are chasing Wahington's Jonathan Sanders who sits at -4.
The Tigers finish their tournament in the morning on Tuesday, Mar. 11 with a final 18 holes of action at the Pacific Dunes Course. The Tigers are scheduled to tee off at 8:30 am.
