The Pacific men's basketball team travels to the Bay Area this weekend for its final pair of West Coast Conference road games this weekend. On Thursday, Feb. 20, the Tigers play at Santa Clara at 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, Feb. 22 Pacific visits San Francisco at 3:00 p.m. Thursday's game is available via theW.tv and Saturday's contest will be televised by Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, Root Sports and TheW.tv.
Pacific is 14-11 overall and 5-9 in the West Coast Conference, after splitting a pair of home games last week against BYU (W, 89-82) and San Diego (L, 70-55). Senior Andrew Bock leads the team with 12.1 points and 3.0 assists per game, while senior Tony Gill is averaging a team-best 5.9 rebounds per game. The Tigers are ranked sixth in the NCAA in free throw percentage at 76.6%.
Santa Clara is 11-16 on the season and 4-9 in the WCC, after a 69-63 home loss to San Francisco. Brandon Clark leads the Broncos with 17.1 points per game. Pacific trails the all-time series with Santa Clara 81-38 and 45-10 in Santa Clara. The Broncos have won three of the last five in the series, but the Tigers won 80-68 on Jan. 11 in Stockton. Sama Taku scored 19 points off the bench to lead the Tigers.
San Francisco is 14-9 on the season and 7-4 in the WCC, after a 69-63 road win at Santa Clara last week. Cole Dickerson leads the Dons with 14.5 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Pacific trails the all-time series with San Francisco 63-31 and 36-8 in San Francisco. The Dons won this year's earlier meeting 81-72 in overtime at the Spanos Center.
