Dong Leads Tigers At Doc Adams Open

Davis, Calif. - The Pacific Cross Country team raced at the Doc Adams Open event near the UC Davis campus on Saturday. The Tigers were led by junior Dale Dong (Stockton, Calif.) who finished the 6K in a time of 26:31, good for 17th place overall in the event. Dong's time was a season-high and just 25 seconds off her personal record time set at the Bronco Invite in 2013.

Finishing in 20th overall was Junior Jessica Guerra (Stockton, Calif.) who recorded a time of 27:12. The time was less than a second off her season-best 27:11 at the SF State Invitational in October. Freshman Megan Murphy (Santa Maria, Calif.) finished in 28:52 while senior Micaela Todd (Mill Creek, Wash.) crossed in a time of 29:31 to round out the Tiger runners.

Coach Josh Jones noted, "The weather was a little warm for a cross country race and the times weren't what we were hoping for, but the ladies have worked hard all season and pushed themselves during this race."

Pacific will complete the Fall schedule at the 2014 NCAA Division I West Regional on November 14th. The race, hosted by Stanford, will begin at 11:00 am and live timing will be available via a link on PacificTigers.com
