High School: Murphy comes to Pacific from St. Joseph''s High School in Santa Maria, Calif. She was a three-time varsity letter winner in both cross country and track and field for the Knights. Murphy reached the CIF Prelims and Finals in 2010 and 2011 and earned trips to CIF State Finals in 2012 and 2013 in the sport of cross country. In the track and field disciplines, she is a specialist in the high jump event. In addition, she won the CIF Academic Award after the 2011 season. In addition to her cross country/track prowess, Murphy was also an accomplished wrestler at St. Joseph''s, earning trips to the CIF prelims in 2013 and 2014.

Personal: Megan is the Daughter of John and Jennifer Murphy. Her father, John, is a US Marine Corps veteran. In her first year at Pacific, she intends to study bioengineering with career plans to build prosthetics for veterans.
