Box Score Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at home to San Diego on Thursday, Oct. 30 at Knoles Soccer Field. The Tigers dropped to 2-14-1, 0-7-0 in West Coast Conference play, while San Diego improved to 8-7-2, 4-3-0 in WCC play.
The Toreros scored the only goal of the match on a header by Caitlyn Kretzschmar at the 42:06 mark of the match. USD was able to cling to the lead and hold on for the win.
Pacific was out-shot 6-3 in the first half and 5-3 in the second half and 11-6 for the match. The Toreros held an 8-0 advantage in free kicks. Julia Beck had two of the Tigers shots, while four other teammates had one shot each.
Goalkeeper Melissa Ma had four saves for the Tigers.
The Tigers are next in action with a home game against No. 15 BYU on Saturday, Nov. 1 on Knoles Soccer Field at 7:00 p.m. Saturday is Senior Night, where the Tigers will honor Malaya Cabrera, Liz Higashino, Jacqueline Kane, Mirella Mattos, Sasha Moscatello and Nicole Penick in their final home game.
