Box Score Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific men's soccer team was blanked by Cal State Fullerton Monday afternoon in a non-conference matinee at Knoles Field, 4-0.
The Titans out-shot Pacific 30-4 on the afternoon, as Pacific goalkeeper registered six saves in his 90 minutes of work.
Adachi made a pair of saves early in the first half, denying a header attempt in the eighth minute and a shot from Mark Vazquez in the 12th minute.
But the Titans broke through in the 17th minute as Marc Fenelus came in off the end line and tucked a shot inside the near post for a 1-0 lead.
Fullerton tallied again just under 90 seconds later. Following a Pacific foul just outside the box, Garrett Losee's free kick was bent inside the left post for a two-goal cushion.
Tyson Fox had the Tigers' best scoring chance, putting a shot on frame, but Fullerton's Jeff Salt was there for the save in the 42nd minute.
Pacific had seven offensive opportunities whistled as off-side in the first half.
In the second, the Titans maintained much of the possession forcing the Tigers' defense into blocking four shots in the first 25 minutes.
Off a free kick, Adachi posted a save on Nigel Patterson in the 70th minute, but the rebound went right to Spencer Johnson on the right post who tapped it in for a 3-0 lead.
The Titans added insult to injury late, as Robert Coronado poked in a loose ball off a long throw-in over the line for a 4-0 final result.
Pacific falls to 2-9 on the year, while Fullerton moves to 7-5-2.
The Tigers will hit the road next weekend, for road conference games at Loyola Marymount (Friday, 6 p.m.) and San Diego (Sunday, 1 p.m.).
