Bandon, Ore. - Closing out action at the Bandon Dunes Championship on Sunday, Mar. 10, sophomore Byron Meth finished in third place overall as the second-year Tiger took home his best career finish in Oregon. For his three-round tournament, Meth posted a -2, 214 as he ended four-strokes back of the tournament champion, Troix Tonkham of Fresno State.

After two days of hot starts, the sophomore cooled off slightly on day three of the tournament as Meth shot +2 over the final 18-holes of play. Despite posting his first and only round over par at the championship, Meth still managed to card three birdies over his final round of play including posting a red number on the final hole of the tournament. Overall, Meth's second round 68 finished tied for the top single-round score of the tournament as three other golfers matched the sophomores -4 in round three.

As a team, the Tigers finished the tournament in 11th place as the Tigers shot +1 on the final day of play to post an 888, +24 over the three days. Leading the way on the final day of play for the Tigers was their other sophomore, Eric Sugimoto, who carded a -2, 70 to jump into the top-20 overall. 

At the end of the tournament, Colorado stood above all the rest as the Buffaloes posted a -2, 862 to take the team title. The Buffaloes were the only team to finish their tournament under par at the Old MacDonald Course in Bandon, Ore.
