For the final time, the Pacific women's volleyball team will kick off conference play in the Big West Conference with a match against Northern California rival, UC Davis. For the Tigers, the 2012 conference season has high expectations as Pacific enters the fray of the Big West with the best overall record in non-conference action after posting an 11-1 mark through the first month of the season. Additionally, the 2012 conference season also marks the final go-around for the Tigers in the only conference they truly have ever known as Pacific gears up for a move to the West Coast Conference in 2013.

Residing in the Big West since 1984 (the official name of the Big West came about in 1988), the Tigers have won four conference titles and a pair of national championships during their time in the conference. Overall, Pacific is 339-125 in Big West matches heading into the weekend as they look to take home the conference title in their final chance at the Big West banner.
