2 pm Monday Matinee Wraps Tigers' Non-Conference Slate

Box Score

Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific women's basketball team looks to remain unbeaten at home in New Year's Eve matinee Monday at p.m. against Cal State Bakersfield.

The Tigers (9-2) are looking to set a modern program record for non-conference victories in a season. Pacific had a 9-3 record out of conference in 1999-2000. Prior to joining the Big West in 1984-85, the Tigers posted five seasons with nine or more non-conference wins, but playing a limited NorPac schedule that allowed up to 19 non-conference games. This season's Pacific squad has already set the program mark for most wins in a season before New Year's Day.

CSU Bakersfield enters the weekend at 2-12 on the year, with three losses to Big West opponents. One of the Road Runners' two wins came over BWC opponent UC Irvine. The Tigers and Runners share one common opponent to date, as CSUB lost to Santa Clara, 77-56, while the Tigers downed the Broncos, 72-45.

The Road Runners are led by the duo of Amber Williams (12.8 points per game) and Tyonnna Outland (12.1) points per game, while Janae Coffee adds 10.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per contest.

Last season, in Bakersfield, the Tigers posted a 96-73 win over the Road Runners as six players scored in double-figures. The Tigers tied their school record with 34 assists and tallied 74 points in paint.  Pacific completed 29 lay-ups, and beat the Bakersfield pressure for 38 fast-break points.
