Pacific dominated the court against UC Riverside to earn a final match score of 7-0. Partners Jenifer Widjaja and Julia Hansen had a great win with a final score of 8-1 against Raney and Raney. Shabby Eslami and partner Summer Irvin also had a confident win against opponents Sakhakorn McKay with a final 8-3. Olga Gumenyuk and Susan Te came up just short of the win in a tiebreak against Corpuz and Bergeson 8-7 (2).
After having won the doubles point, the Tigers went on to defeat all their opponents in the singles events. The Tigers were exceedingly consistent and never allowed their opponents to earn more than two games a set. With this confident win under their belt, the Tigers now prepare to face nationally ranked UC Santa Barbara on Sunday, April 10th.
Once the match had concluded, Coach Chiene stated that he was extremely proud of the ladies and their performance today. They had all played hard, remained focused, and got the job done. He also stated that he was excited to face UCSB, and felt confident in his team's ability.
